The following frequently asked questions are based on the commonly asked questions we have encountered over the years we have been offering the different types of 2G,3G and 4G Kids Smart Watches in our store. If any issue you are facing has not been covered, please feel free to contact us, so that we can assist to resolve the matter.

Do I need a SIM Card?

Yes you will need to get a Micro SIM Card ready which is available for GSM (2G) network data communication and with caller ID enabled (activated) through the service provider. In New Zealand we recommend a Vodafone NZ SIM Card. Please note providers like 2 Degrees NZ and Spark only support 3G and 4G watches.

Why should I enable caller ID (Activate through SP)?

If there is no caller ID service for the SIM card in the watch, all unknown numbers (strangers) can call the watch, rendering its security guard weak.

How Do I install the SIM Card?

The kids GPS smart watch have 2 different ways to install the SIM Card depending on the manufacturer. One is to open the back case by using the screwdriver provided in the box and then firmly and carefully insert the micro SIM Card;

The other type of Kids Smart Watch requires you to insert the card in through a side slot.

Waterproof Kids GPS watches normally have screws on the side slot, and a screw driver is also provided.

Q: Where to get the APP for my device?

There are 2 ways to get App for your device. Option one is to scan the QR code on the box then it will direct you to download the app for Android and IOS Phones; Option two is to Click the link below and download directly.

When you register account for your device on the App, the ID number you need to type into is the 10 digits ID number on the watch back along with the IMEI number and each device only has an unique ID

Q: Why my unique ID exist?

The ID number is consistent, some customers do not use their ID number correctly, but use others by mistake, then you might be the one whose unique ID already existed.

Q: How can retrieve my device ID if I lost it?

If you lost the Device ID number, you can retrieve it from the IMEI number, cut off the first 4 and last one digits, then you will the 10 number device ID.

Q: How does the positioning works?

There are 3 ways to locate your kids, which are GPS mode, Base station mode, WIFI mode. -Base station mode. Get the position by the signal transmitter, and it is a general location might be inaccurate. -GPS Mode. Get the position by satellite , it is the most accurate method. -WIFI Mode. This method is to use WIFI Module to search out nearest WIFI hotspot which has a corresponding Mac address. Then it will match the Mac address with the location data base which is provided by map server provider. Then positioning finished.

Q: Why the error range of GSM base station (LBS) locating up to hundreds of meters?

GPS locating is a way of satellite positioning, so it is quite accurate. But GSM/LBS locating is based on base station, its accuracy depends on the signal strength received by the transmitter, where it has better signal, then its location will be provided. So the error range can be big .

In addition the signal is obtained by triangulating the base station towers. The more the towers, the shorter the range .

Q: How to make a phone call on the watch?

After you created account in the app, then you can add contact number for the watche under Setting –Contacts, where you can list max 10 numbers. Beside this, you can also add urgent number (Familiarity Number) in SOS setting board. These 3 numbers each are corresponding to the button number from 1, 2, 3 equals to SOS button.

Q:How to make continuous phone call from watch if there is no one pick up phone calls in time?

If the child is in dangerous or in urgent situation, they need to hold SOS button, then the phone watch will call the SOS phone number 1 and phone number 2 and then phone number 3 till there are someone pick up the phone. And It will circulate for 2 times then call ends.

Q: How to do voice monitoring?

You need to fill into the phone number which you would want to monitor the watch, then you can send voice/text messages to the childs watches.

Q: Does this watch support to send free voice message?

Yes, the function is just like the same on WhatsApp to send voice messages..

Q: Do I pay monthly charges with the Se Tracker App?

No.The se tracker is free to use for life. However the app comes wih adverts which if you do not want to appear, only then can you pay for them to be removed. Otherwise wait for the advert to run or remove and continue to use the app.

Q: Can multiple users connect to the same Se Tracker App?

Yes.As the initial administrator of the watch, you can issue access to other family members in the app to view the location of the phone and use the app, in addition to providing them access to call the watch.
